Static environments come alive. Technology and craft combined into an engaging walkthrough of a space as it will be lived in.

How a tour is built

A room you can stand in, months before it exists.

Tours are stitched from rendered or captured panoramas, linked by markers that follow the way a person would actually move through the plan.

  1. 01

    Set the stations

Choose the viewpoints a visitor would naturally stop at — entry, living, terrace, primary suite.

  2. 02

    Render or capture

Each station becomes a full 360° panorama at print-grade resolution.

  3. 03

    Link the path

Markers connect stations so movement follows the plan, not a menu.

  4. 04

    Layer the detail

Floor plans, specification notes, material call-outs and enquiry actions sit on top of the view.

Where tours are used

Three audiences, one set of panoramas.

Residential sales

Buyers abroad see the apartment at 2am their time, without an appointment.

Hospitality & retail

Operators and franchise partners approve a fit-out from the inside.

Handover & marketing

The same panoramas carry into listings, brochures and the developer’s own site.

Questions

Answers to the things people ask.

How is a virtual tour produced for a building that does not exist yet?

The tour is built from rendered 360° panoramas rather than photography. Orion & Partners chooses the viewpoints a visitor would naturally stop at — entry, living space, terrace, primary suite — renders each as a full equirectangular panorama, then links them with markers that follow the way a person would actually move through the plan. Floor plans, specification notes and enquiry actions are layered on top of the view.

What resolution should 360° panoramas be for a web virtual tour?

Equirectangular JPEGs at exactly 2:1 aspect ratio, at 6000×3000 or 8192×4096 pixels, in sRGB. That is enough to stay sharp when a viewer zooms in on a phone or a large showroom screen, while remaining small enough to load quickly over a normal connection.

Can a virtual tour work on a phone?

Yes. Tours run in the mobile browser with touch controls: drag to look around, pinch to zoom, tap a marker to move between spaces. No app or headset is required, which is why tours are effective for overseas buyers who cannot visit a site.
